It didn't work. I am installing a game that requires the install shield wizard. It pops up and stops working when it says 'Preparing to Install'. Then the error pops up.1 person was helped by this reply

- How are you trying to install the game by using a browser or from the Store or a DVD/CD?
- Which game are you trying to install?
I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check if it helps.
Try t install it in the Clean Boot.
This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows. It starts Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.
1.Press Windows Logo Key+X. Click on Run.
2.Type msconfig. Click OK.
3.Then follow the steps from 3-7 for Windows 8.1 in the link below.
